Melissa Sun
SVP, Purpose
Melissa Sun runs RMG’s Purpose Division from San Francisco, where she supports nonprofits, social enterprise, talent, and purpose-driven entertainment and activations.
Melissa is a 20+ year veteran in brand marketing, communications, public relations, and business development across multiple sectors. . She began her career as a news producer for KSBW and KNBC. She transitioned into Entertainment PR helping win two Oscars, three Emmy’s, three Golden Globes on behalf of her clients, and launching iconic entertainment including Breaking Bad and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. She moved on to advise influencers, creator brands and tech start-ups. Most recently she led Brand Marketing & Partnerships for Sierra Club, the largest environmental org in the US, where she developed award-nominated cultural projects and founded their Arts + Entertainment Council with members including Jared Leto, Darren Aronofsky, Olivia Munn and more.
Melissa studied film and international politics at UC Irvine and University of Hong Kong and sits on the board of Good Energy.
